In a move that blends history, experience, and a fresh vision for the future, the University of Tennessee has officially appointed former professional football legend Willie Gault as the new Assistant General Manager of the Tennessee Volunteers football program. Willie Gault, a standout wide receiver for the Volunteers from 1979 to 1982, brings with him a legacy of excellence both on and off the field. He went on to enjoy a successful NFL career, most notably with the Chicago Bears, where he played a key role in their legendary 1985 Super Bowl-winning team. Known for his blazing speed and world-class athleticism—he was also an Olympic-caliber track star—Gault returns to Rocky Top with the goal of helping steer the program toward national prominence.
