Henry moved to St Kilda.
The Liam Henry deal with St Kilda is done.
The Liam Henry trade with St Kilda has been completed, with Fremantle receiving a future second round pick in exchange for a swap of future fourth round picks.
The move strengthens Fremantle’s draught hand in 2024, with the club having three first-round picks tied to Fremantle, Port Adelaide, and Collingwood, as well as St Kilda’s second-round pick throughout the first two rounds.
After being chosen in 2019, Henry played 43 games with Fremantle over four seasons.
David Walls, Head of Player Personnel, expressed his disappointment at Henry’s departure.
“After four years of development at Fremantle, on top of his time as a part of our Next Generation Academy since he was 15, it’s disappointing to see Liam depart after showing his potential in 2023,” Walls said in a statement.

“Through the trade, we are constructing a very strong hand for 2024, giving us plenty of options for the remainder of this trade period as well as next year.”
“We thank Liam for his contribution to the Club as well as St Kilda for their cooperation in working through a trade.”

Head of Player Personnel David Walls stated that the Club was happy with the outcome of the difficult transfer.
“It’s obviously disappointing to see Lachie depart after seeing him arrive at pick 57 in 2018 and develop into the player he is today,” Walls said in a statement.
“In exchange, we have increased our draught picks for this year and next.” We hold three first-round picks in 2024, as well as pick 34 in 2023, our highest existing draught pick.
“We knew Lachie enjoyed his time in Fremantle and understood his reasons for returning to Victoria.”
“Working through the trade with Collingwood, Lachie, and his management was a breeze, and we wish Lachie, Maddie, and their families the best.”
